A transient three-dimensional coupling model based on the compressible volume of fluid(VOF) method was developed to simulate the transport of volatile pollutants at the air-water interface. VOF is a numerical technique for locating and tracking the free surface of water flow.The relationships between Henry's constant, thermodynamics parameters, and the enlarged topological index were proposed for nonstandard conditions. A series of experiments and numerical simulations were performed to study the transport of benzene and carbinol. The simulation results agreed with the experimental results. Temperature had no effect on mass transfer of pollutants with low transfer free energy and high Henry's constant. The temporal and spatial distribution of pollutants with high transfer free energy and low Henry's constant was affected by temperature. The total enthalpy and total transfer free energy increased significantly with temperature, with significant fluctuations at low temperatures. The total enthalpy and total transfer free energy increased steadily without fluctuation at high temperatures. 相似文献

A retrieval technique for crystal structures using high-resolution electron microscopy is presented. The inversion of the complex structure-to-image relation is performed by numerical optimization of the configuration space of object models. Unlike structure refinement in X-ray crystallography, the method operates on unknown defect structures on a nanometre scale. The diversity of crystal defects examined and the differences in microscope types and alignment conditions makes it necessary to adapt the basic algorithm to a broad variety of needs resulting in a modular program package for general use. New developments, such as a real space slice function calculation, problem adapted optimization strategies, and finally an examination of iterative matching of image series and exit wavefunctions are presented. 相似文献

This paper aims to assess the applicability of the bonded–interface technique (BIT) that has been used for examining sub-surface damage in brittle materials. With the aid of the finite element method, the indentation stress fields in alumina specimens with and without a bonded–interface were analysed. It was found that the bonded–interface greatly alters the stress distribution in the neighbourhood of the interface. The high-stress zone shifts away from the interface, and extends to the surface. Both glue layer mechanical properties and bond thickness play a limited role in the overall stress field of the BIT alumina. Comparisons of theoretical predictions with experimental observations showed that, to a great extent, the BIT presents a different pattern of sub-surface damage. The study clarifies the applicability of the BIT and offers a useful guideline for practitioners. 相似文献

Roughening of metal surfaces enhances the adhesion strength of metal to polymer by mechanical interlocking and this often
produces cohesive failure. In a previous work [1], an adhesion study on a roughened metalpolymer system was carried out, and
the correlation between adhesion strength and failure path was investigated. In the present work, the correlation between
failure path and microstructure of metal surfaces before molding was studied. The results showed that the variation in failure
path could be explained by introducing a simple adhesion model developed from the theory of the fiber reinforcement of composite
